Modified Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index (MSAVI)
Description
Modified Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index (MSAVI) increases the dynamic range of the vegetation signal while minimizing the soil background influences further than the Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index (SAVI). This is especially useful for areas with low vegetation.
MSAVI with an inductive L function is calculated as (2*NIR + 1 - SQRT((2*NIR + 1)**2 - 8(NIR - Red)))/2.
