Advanced Vegetation Index (AVI)

Description

The Advanced Vegetation Index (AVI) is a vegetation index used to assess vegetation health and productivity by utilizing the reflectance values of the near-infrared (NIR) and red spectral bands - healthy vegetation strongly reflects NIR light while absorbing red light.

AVI = (NIR band * (1.0 - Red band) * (NIR band - Red band)) ^ (1/3)
