Exporting & Sharing a Map

Exporting a Map

Climate Engine allows two different download options. In the map tab, you will see a Download dropdown housing the options. The first option allows you to download raster data in geoTIFF format. You can draw a rectangular region or input lat/long values. Note that the longitude should be entered as a negative value between -180 and 0 for longitudes that are located between 180-360 East longitude. It also allows you to select the resolution to download the data at and the filename to use. The Auto-fill file name option will automatically adjust as you make changes so that it describes the data that is downloaded.

The second option allows you to download a map image in PDF format. The PDF includes any layers that have been added, a title with map information, scale, and legend.

Sharing a Link to your Map

To share your map, navigate to the top right corner of the map screen and click on Link. This brings you to a window entitled Share Results. You have two choices, one for a short link and another for a long link. You can copy the link you want and share it. When others click on the link, it will show the map results you were seeing when you selected Link. You also have the option to open the link in a new window.
